【解析】 这是个主从复合句，主句“There are few moments in life”位于句首，接着是由“that”引导的定语从句和一个由“when”引导的状语从句。翻译时，把从“than”开始的后半句挪到前面，“closer…than”的关系在译文中通过“如此”体现，英语表达关系紧密，结构形式完整，汉语译文完全打破了英语的结构形式，语序作了全面调整，把一个完整的英语句子分译成了五个汉语句子，主句位于最后，译文符合汉语习惯表达，主句位于最后。
1）No matter how bad the world may become, no matter how much the mass man of the future may lose such of the virtues as he still has, one fact remains.
