There was once
upon a time an old goat who had seven little kids,
and loved them with all the love of a mother
for her children. One day
she wanted to go
into the forest and fetch some food. So she called
all
seven to her and said,
your guard
against the wolf; if he comes in, he will devour
you all -- skin,
hair, and all. The wretch
often disguises himself, but you will know him at
once by his rough voice and his black
feet.

从前有只老山羊。它生了七只小山羊，并且像所有母亲爱孩子一样爱它们。
一天，它要到森林里去取食物
，便把七个孩子全叫过来，对它们说：“亲爱的孩

部吃掉的——连皮带毛通通吃光。这个坏蛋常常把自己化装成别的样子，但是，
你们只要一听 到他那粗哑的声音、一看到它那黑黑的爪子，就能认出它来。”
小山羊们说：“
好妈妈，我们会当心的。你去吧，不用担心。”老山羊咩咩地叫
了几声，便放心地去了。

A Wolf in sheep's clothing
A wolf wanted to eat the sheep, but
he was afraid of the vigilant
shepherd and his
dogs. One day the wolf found the skin of a sheep.
He
put it on and walked among the sheep. A
lamb thought that the wolf was
its mother
because his skin looked like hers. So it followed
the wolf. Soon
after they had left the dogs,
the wolf came at the lamb and ate it up. For
some time he succeeded in deceiving the sheep,
and enjoying hearty
meals.

披着羊皮的狼
狼想吃羊，但是他害怕警惕的牧羊人和牧羊犬。
有一天狼发现了一块羊皮，
便披着它混入羊群。
一只小羊羔把这只披着羊皮的狼误认为自己的妈妈，被领
出了羊群。
狼成功地欺骗了羊群，吃掉了小羊羔。
寓意：事物的外表有时候会掩盖它的本质，所以我们不能只凭表面现象就作
判断。
数学趣味小故事之一：数学天才高斯
高斯念小学的时候，有一次在老师教完加法
后，因为老师想要休息，所以便出了一道
题目要同学们算算看，题目是：
1+2+3+
..... +97+98+99+100 = ?
老师心里正想，这下子小朋友一定要算到下课了吧！正要借口出去时，却被 高斯叫住
了！！
原来呀，高斯已经算出来了，小朋友你可知道他是如何算的吗？
高斯告诉大家他是如何算出的：把
1加 至 100 与 100 加至 1 排成两排相加，也就
是说：
1+2+3+4+ ..... +96+97+98+99+100
100+99+98+97+96+ ..... +4+3+2+1
=101+101+101+ ..... +101+101+101+101
共有一百个101相加，但算式重复了两次，所以把10100 除以 2便得到答案等于
<5050>
从此以后高斯小学的学习过程早已经超越了其它的同学，也因此奠定了他以
后的数学基
础，更让他成为——数学天才！
