for me to improve the writing level.
through these ways, i have
made a lot of
improvements in english.

when you are reading something in english, you may
often
come across a new word. whats the best
way to know it? we
should choose a good
english-chinese dictionary. it tells us
the
meaning of the english words in chinese. when you
meet a
new word, dont use the dictionary at
once. try your best to
think about what it
means before you look it up in the
dictionary.
if you cant guess the meaning, look it up in the
dictionary. if you use the dictionary as often
as possible in
your english learning, it will
become your good friend.
as adult
students of distance learning, self-study becomes
very important. from my point of view, there
are pieces of tips
of self-study.
first, make a study plan in the beginning of a new
semester. as
the saying goers, a good
beginning is half done. if you have a plan and
can follow it,
you’re more likely to complete
the study. second, preview
every unit before
the lesson. third, try to finish the homework
after class. fourth, go over what you have
learnt in class
regularly at home. without
review, you will absolutely forget
what you’ve
learnt as quickly as possible.
so
reviewing is helpful in understanding and
memorizing what
you’ve learnt.
learning english is interesting but it is also
difficult. from my
own experience, i think
there are several difficulties in learning
english. first of all, it’s hard to build up
vocabulary. english
words are quite different
from chinese. i find it takes quite a
long
time to remember the words. but if you don’t use
them,
you’ll soon forget. secondly english
grammar is another
difficult part. i’m often
confused by english tense because it’s
such a
different system from chinese. english idioms and
expressions is the third difficluty i have met
in my study.
sometimes you know every word in
the expression, but you
don’t the exact
meaning of it, because it is used in specific
situation and has spcific meaning. that’s why
yo can tell the
meaning from the words.
the difficulties in my english studies seem
to be the fact that i
would be barely able to
observe the progress i have made. that
is to
say, i have to spend much time in english every
day, only
to find little improvement in my
english studies. whenever i
come across the
trouble, i find the following solution quite
useful, that is, do not give in. language
study is always a time-
consuming task without
any immediate effects. everyday
practice
cannot guarantee great progress in the short term,
but
it is certain to bring about improvement
in the end. so i think
the best solution is to
insist on studying english every day,
including vocabulary, grammar, reading,
listening and
speaking.

felt interested in
it. however, although i
have studied english for several years, i
am
still not very good at it. there are a few
reasons. for one
thing, i find it hard to
remember english words. secondly
