Three Pig Brothers in the Modern
Time
Once upon a time in the United
States of Animals, there were three pigs: Peter,
Patrick,
and their little brother, Paul. After
toiling almost all through their youth age, they
had
eventually accumulated a sum of wealth
which they determined to use to build a
comfortable house in hope that they could live
happily ever after. On a sunny and
bright
morning, when the warm spring winds wafted across
their weathered face,
these three assiduous
pigs began their grand work. Suddenly, something
of large size
cast a shade blocking off the
lovely sun. A bulldozer was coming towards them.
“Morning, gentlemen, I am Waldorf, the
city inspector of our government. I am sorry
to inform you that your construction goes
against the municipal housing project and I
am
sorry we have to stop you from doing so as well as
pull down what you have built
so far.”A wolf
jumped out of the bulldozer, said with a
contemptuous smile, even not
having a look at
their beautiful housing work.
“Please
don‟t, why could not we build our house in our own
land? That is just unfair.”
Three pigs
implored him, with unbridled anger.
Waldorf got on his bulldozer as if he did not
hear anything; coldness soon caught the
hearts
of the pigs. The next second, the bulldozer revved
up and roared like a monster.
A sharp cry
pierced the air. Just within seconds, in the thin
and oppressing air, a
glorious dream crushed
into ruins. Staring at the ruins, Peter, Patrick
and Paul felt like
their hearts sank into the
freezing sea.
At this very moment when
everything seemed to be doomed, a black angel,
Lucifer,
appeared; bringing a slight fragment
of hope.
“Hi, my children, don‟t be
discouraged, let me help you”, he said.
He gave them a computer which shone in a
mysterious fashion, for evil or good we
didn‟t
have the wisdom to decide. Then the angle
disappeared after telling them the
machine he
had just given them was a very useful tool to take
revenge.
The three pigs stared at where
Lucifer vanished into air in great surprise. For a
while
everybody was too shocked and puzzled to
say a word, for they had no idea what to
do
with the computer, nor did they know how powerful
the machine was.
Finally, Paul woke from
shock first.
“Hey, guys! I‟m not
dreaming, am I? Thank you, God! It is time for
revenge! We must
uphold justice by ourselves!”
However, the three pigs were still irresolute
because Lucifer was a fallen angel, the
symbol of evil. They got no idea
whether they should believe in him.
Before
long, the decision was made by Patrick. After all,
they had no other choices.
They could not just
stand and watch their house destroyed without
resistance. Instead,
they must take the risk
to have a try. Would God be on their side? Nobody
could
predict.
With complex
feelings, the three pigs looked at the computer,
the Pandora‟s box.
Soon, revenge began.
Under the guidance of the instruction book left by
black angel,
three pigs plugged in the
Internet. A wonderful new world came to them. They
didn‟t
image the world should have so much fun
before this. Soon, they found out how
broad a
world the computer could offer, filled with the
excitement to revenge.
“What does the
instruction book said?” Paul asked.
„„Log
in, boot up and restart…no, not this…neither is
this…” Patrick turned to the end
and then read
loudly, „„Attention! How to protect your computer
from attack”…Yes,
that‟s it!‟
The
three pigs could hardly wait to read it, feeling
excited that they finally found the
way to
their satisfying revenge.
“Computer virus
means a software program…which can cause great
harm to…usually
made by hackers…called
Trojan…”
“Hey, guys! I have an idea,”
Patrick said eagerly, “How about attacking
Waldorf‟s
computer and leave Trojan?”
“Then its system will break down! Patrick, you
are really a genius!” Paul praised.
“Maybe we are a little undue…” Peter sighed.
“Peter! We just attack a stupid computer
whose owner destroyed the house you dream
about! I think we can hire a hacker to do it
for us,” said Patrick.
Soon, good news
came. Waldorf‟s computer system was destroyed like
the houses
Waldorf had torn down, which worked
off three pigs‟ anger. For celebrating, they
drank up a case of beer. As they drank more,
the anxiety to push their revenge forward
grew
stronger and stronger.
“By the way, I
think of another good idea,” said Paul with a
hiccup, “These days I
stay on the internet and
find that BBS is really a good place where all
kinds of people
gather together. There are
many posts that work well when attacking someone
else.
Maybe…we can insult Waldorf on the
internet, too.”
“Good
job, Paul. Despite that you did nothing but
surfing the Internet all day long,
you are
paying attention to our revenge,” said plastered
Patrick.
They acted immediately. First
step was registering a great many of accounts in
all
large BBS. Next step, they cried for help.
To their surprise, hundreds of thousands of
people who had the same experiences responded,
their anger were rising, gradually
forming a
huge wave of malice towards Waldorf. Waldorf soon
became the target of
public criticism.
With time creeping on, the criticism gradually
grew into rumor, which began to
expand its
incidence in society and brought Waldorf so
enormous pressure that he was
always anxiously
pacing up and down.
One day during the
vacation, Waldorf got up early in the morning. He
withdrew the
curtain in his room. Sunlight
poured in, as if covering the floor with warm
golden
gossamer. Waldorf was delighted. There
would be no computer virus today, and
neither
the insult, for it was a sunny day outside, he
thought.
Waldorf cooked himself a cup of
coffee, crooning gaily. After that, he turned on
his
laptop and began to have a look at daily
news in town.
“Things are
fine...fine...fine...Oh my god! What's that?”
He stared at the screen, on which there was a
black-and-white deadee of him.
Moreover,
there were several words below it, which read
“Waldorf, an evil, has
finally been taken away
by devil!”
Reading this, Waldorf's face
turned red and he felt dizzy, as if that his blood
all rushed
up to his head.
Waldorf
turned off the laptop and took a deep breath. He
decided to talk a walk
outside so that he
could calm himself down.
Walking along
the street, Waldorf met many acquaintances, who
strangely pointed at
him today.
“See?
I'm still alive!” He claimed.
“There's no
doubt that you're alive. You're far too energetic!
Haha,” the acquaintance
said in an ill-
intentioned tone.
“What's wrong?” Waldorf
was completely confused by him.
“Oh! Come on! Everybody's known your
affairs...go home and check it on line!”
Waldorf felt that his heart has already been
in his throat when staring at what was
posted
on the Internet. Those were sex photos in which he
was the hero.
“Oh my god! Who did this
cheeky, indecent thing?! I've never taken such
fucking
photos! Oh god! What should I do?! Who
did this?! Damn it! Oh! I'm done this time!
Nobody's going to trust me.” He pulled his
hair painfully and ran out of his house,
almost mad.
He stopped all passers-by
in the street, screaming to them that he did not
do it!
Everyone disbelieved him and thought he
was crazy.
Suddenly, Waldorf felt an
extreme pain in his body and then he fell to the
ground,
unconscious. An ambulance was called
and Waldorf was taken to the hospital
immediately.
Soon three pig brothers
knew Waldorf‟s sudden faint. Not being satisfied
as usual,
they began to realize they must have
done something wrong. Peter frowned on all the
rumors and scandals of Waldorf on the
Internet. He glared back at his two brothers;
they both appeared as upset as him. Yet Paul
shrugged and argued, “he deserves this
penalty. He must pay for our house! What‟s
more, we didn‟t fake the photos; others
did
it. You can see Waldorf is resented by so many
people.” Peter shook his head,
“Come on!
Waldorf was simply performing his duty. What we
have done is slandering
and that is committing
crime. After all, our house will not come back
even if we kill
Waldorf.”
“Look!”Patrick pointed suddenly to the screen
and read aloud: “Former city inspector
Waldorf
had a stroke this morning at his house. He‟s been
sent to the hospital but still
in stupor
now.”All the three brothers were silent for a
while: Peter bit his lips and
frowned; Patrick
breathed deeply and sighed, while Paul strode to
the window and
looked out. The silence was
suddenly broken by rays of pure light and a white
angel
with six wings appeared above their
head. “Follow your conscience, my boys. Make
good use of that.” He nodded at the computer
and disappeared, leaving the three pigs
in
quietness again. Nevertheless, they looked into
each other‟s face with something
firmly
shining in their eyes.
The following day,
the three pigs went to see Waldorf with flowers.
Waldorf had just
returned consciousness, what
also returned was his wife, who sat behind him and
took
care of Waldorf. She became upset on the
pigs‟ arrival. Peter cautiously placed the
flowers in the vase beside Waldorf‟s bed. He
then bowed and apologized slowly but
firmly,
“Mr. Waldorf, we‟re sincerely sorry for the harm
we have done to you and
your wife. At first,
we just wanted to gain justice and sympathy from
the Netizens, yet
things went
out of our control later. We wanted revenge but we
didn‟t fabricate the
rumors and the photos.
However, we‟re responsible for that. Please
forgive us. Mrs.
Waldorf, your husband has
always been loyal to you and the pictures are
reworked by
Photoshop. We‟re sorry.” The three
pigs bowed deeply for a long time.
Mrs.
Waldorf wept and looked into her husband‟s eyes;
Waldorf was still unable to
speak clearly and
could only be understood by his wife. “Wald says
he‟s sorry for
tearing down your house and he
advises you to relocate your house. He longs for
peace now and he‟s going to retire. We‟ll
settle in the country after his recovery. You
three are nice kids. We wish you can be
happy.”
As time elapses, those three
pigs‟ life became tranquil again. They gradually
let go of
that unpleasant memory and found a
new place where they decided to build their new
house again, in hope to start their new life.
On the building day, another bright and
sunny
morning, to their great delight, they received a
letter from the old wolf telling
them he was
getting along well with his family in the
countryside. When he had all
his grandchildren
around him, he felt as if he was in seventh
heaven. Nothing is more
important compared
with the time he spent with those naughty little
wolves, the old
wolf wrote. Paul read the
letter word for word loudly for his two brothers,
smiling
with tears rolling.
„How
wonderful it is! We all have overcome the
difficulties and now the fabulous
future
finally comes.‟ He shouted jubilantly. Leaped and
cheered his two brothers,
showing that their
joy was no less than his.
They talked,
laughed and began to work on building their
dreaming house. However,
immersed in the
greatest happiness, they did not know, just
several miles away, a new
bulldozer driven by
a new city inspector, looming out of fog, were
coming right
towards them.
