三、 教材与教学分析
这节课的中心话题是介绍中国著名的农业科学家袁隆平的生平和他的杂交水稻。
第一段描述了
袁隆平的外表——他更象一个农民而不象一个科学家，农村就是他做科研的
大本营。他的科研成果就是超
级杂交水稻。第二段描述他的家庭出身，学业，献身水稻科研的
原因及所取得的成就。第三段告诉我们袁
隆平过着跟普通人一样的生活却干着伟大的事业。即
使在功成名就之后，他也淡泊名利, 有着无私奉献
的高尚精神。第四段讲袁隆平的工作理想和目
标，以及他热爱人民和为人民不断进取的精神并且帮助他们
更深刻地理解农业科学家袁隆平的
科学研究的价值。
Lead-in部分我用两组问
题导入。在第一组问题中播放视频讨论提出世界部分地区所面临的
饥饿问题。在第二组中展示世界人口的
快速增长所带来的粮食短缺问题，由此激发学生对世界
的关注，树立帮助受饥饿困扰的人们的同情心和责
任感，很自然的引出袁隆平——这位杂交水
稻之父，同时为学生深刻地理解袁隆平的科学研究价值铺垫。
读中的skimming与
careful-reading，通过不同形式训练学生跳读、猜词、理解
主旨要义及文章具体信息，并对细节
作出简单推理和判断的阅读技巧
。读后设计的Discussion，第一个Group
work旨在引领学生深
入探究袁隆平成就背后的人格特质；
同时在其后插播一分钟感动中国的视频，将学生学习袁隆
平的热情推上高潮。在第二个Group
work中进行拓展，讨论自己如何学习袁隆平的奉献精神，
并在讨论的最后要求学生在全班做Make
a speech 的呈现，点燃学生自己的激情与梦想。
教学将自主学习和合作探究相结合,更好地
实现了知识与技能，过程与方法，情感态度价值
观三维一体的教学目标。
