1、老师出示一张中国地图实行介绍:“What’s this ?”
(This is a map of China. ) Yes, it’s a map of China .I’m
from weifang. It’s in the east of China如果有必要,
能够用中文稍加解释和说明,然后向学生们提问:“Where are
you from? Where is your pen friend from?’’如果学生
能说出其他国家的名称,要即时鼓励表扬,并带领其他学生
一起学习。
向学生提问: Where are you from ? Where is it on the
map?Please find it on the map. (I’m from liaocheng . it's
in the east of China.)
2、出示Simon的图片,提问:Who is he ? (he’s Simon .
He’s Daming’s cousin .Where is he from? (He’s from
Now York , America.)板书New York Where is New
York?
3、出示美国地图。提问: This is a map of America ,Can
you find New York? 在地图上标注
east ,west ,south .north .协助学生复习这些单词,引导学
生在图上找到纽约的位置。Where is New York ? It’s in the
east of America .
三、课文学习:
1、放CD,让学生边听边看SB第二单元活动1的地图。把
录音中提到的几处美国城市名称写在黑板上 协助学生理解。再
放录音,让学生跟读。

2、带领学生学习表达地理位置的方法。Where is San
Francisco ? (It’s in the west of America.)


3、老师教授第二种位置表达法。
Where is Canana ? It’s on the north of America . Where
is Houston ? It’s on the south of America.
总结:加拿大和墨西哥在美国领土以外,而纽约和旧金山是美
国的一部分,在美国境内,所以两 种表达法有所不同。
4、把全班分成两组,看活动一的图实行对话练习。
5、课文学习: AB Unit 2练习1。先请学生仔细看图,
课前让学生了解关于美国的 面积、人口、首都、国庆、国花、
国鸟、国旗等信息。例如“田纳西州一个小小的州为何出名
等 ?”让学生了解该单元的背景知识,有利于学生了解星条旗
的来历与变化。学好本课儿歌。
请学生把书翻到SB Unit 2活动4。请学生边听边看,熟
悉韵诗的大致内容。然后向学生讲解他 们不理解的内容,如单
词“Tennessee”等。再放录音,请学生看着书小声地跟读。
能 够请男生和女生分组读.也能够请单个学生读。掌握chant
之后,能够全班起完成AB Unit2练习3。再听录音,根据录音
判断练习中的陈述是否准确。
四、课堂总结
1.背诵课文,记住本课中出现的单词及短语。
2.描述自己家乡的地理位置。
