范文一
To paraphrase 19
th
-
century American Writer Mark Twain,
“The
scenic spots are divided between polluted places
and
unpolluted places.” This is most vividly
illustrated in the carton.
In the picture, two
tourists are ditching some plastic bottles and
trash into the lake. On the other side of the
carton, we see a lot
of solid waste and
littering. We can see that solid waste and
littering will degrade the physical appearance
of the water and
shoreline and may cause the
death of aquatic animals.
Clearly, the
cartoonist wants to tell us, through this
painting, that in areas with high
concentrations of tourist
activities, waste
disposal is a serious problem and improper
disposal can be a major despoiler of the
natural
environment-rivers, scenic areas, and
roadsides. Importance
should be attached to a
clean and healthy environment in
tourism and
the effects of tourism on our physical environment
should be a consideration to all of us.
But what can people do to offset this problem?
Here are
some easy ways that all of us can go
green. Firstly, introduce
legislation and
regulation to control pollution problems and
cleanliness of public areas. Secondly, use
recyclable and
reusable products rather than
disposable, especially when

travelling. Don’t leave behind rubbish,
including food and
plastic bottles. It’s easy
to think we can’t make a difference. But
all
of us can-even if it’s just a matter of degrees.
范文二
The story that some tourists have
left a large amount of
rubbish in the
beautiful lake has been the talk of the city ever
since its publication in the media. Just as
the insightful carton
shows, two tourists are
littering: one is throwing a plastic bottle
into the lake, while the other is casting his
leftovers to the water.
We also see that the
other side of the lake abound with solid
waste
and littering.
The carton sends a clear
message to the society about the
urgency of
environmental protection and education of
tourists.
The solid waste and littering in the
lake will not only kill fishes.
They will also
drive away more tourists and visitors. Another
message the painter wants to convey is that
the arrogant and
disgraceful behaviors of
these rude and boorish tourists can be
attributed to the lack of the discipline in
environmental
protection.
It is simpler to
say than to do, but there are ways. The
most
common is government should take strong action to
punish anyone who litters in scenic places. A
heavy punishment

will have
tourists cautious of their dumping their trash
into the
lake. To be sure, these tourists will
not be happy when they
disciplined, but it
will do good to the lake and to our
environment in the long run. For my part, I
have no idea how
long it will take to reverse
this situation, but I will try my best to
increase public awareness of environmental
protection so that
vulgar tourists will be
increasingly self-conscious and
uncomfortable
about their bad habit.
