基数词
英语中数词分为两大类：基数词和序数词。
—、基数词定义：描述事物数量的多少的数词称为基数词。
二、基数词的构成
（1）1~12独立成词。
（2）13~19，+teen构成。
（3）整十的，以ty结尾。
（4）21~99，两位数，十位与个位之间有“一”。
eg：31thirty-one 66 sixty-six 99 ninety-
nine
（5）101~999，三位数，百位与十位个位之间加and
eg：840 eight hundred and forty

six hundred and ninety-three

hundred and one
（6）1000以上的数目，从后向前数，每三位用“，”隔开，从
后往
前分隔号读thousand，million，billion。

三.基数词的用法
1、表示具体数目，hundred，thousand，million
不用复数；表示不
确定数目，用复数。 hundreds of（数百），thousands
of（数
千），million of
（数百万）+名词复数，但不能与具体数目连用。
eg：There are three
thousand students in our school.
eg：After the
war，millions of people became homeless.
2、“几十”的复数形式可以表示：
（1）在某人几十多——in+one’s+数词复数
在几十年代——in+the+年份复数
eg： in his
forties.在他40岁时.
（2）In the 1990s（在二十世纪90年代）
3、“基数词+名词”的合成形容词作定语，中间带有连字符“—”，当
中的名词用单数。
eg ：a 3-year-old girl a ten-day
holiday
4、表计量—“基数词+度量单位+形容词”
eg：The
classroom is 8 meters long，7 meters wide and 4
meters
high.
序数词
一、序数词定义：序数词是指表示顺序的数词.
二、序数词的构成
（1）1~3,特殊记， first，second，third. <
br>（2）4~19，相应基数词尾+th，特殊拼写fifth，eighth，ninth，
tw
elfth。
（3）20~90整十的，y变成ie+th，eg：twentieth。
（4）21~99,只把个位的基数词变成序数词，eg：21 twenty—first，
