1、英文求职信应注意的格式问题
英文求职信的主要内容和中文求职信基本 一致，但在格式方面与中文求职信还是有所区别的。
这主要表现在：
（1）信封的写法 如果外企给的是英文地址，那信封的写法就应遵循英美的习惯。一般的写法是：在信封的左上
角（中 文信封邮政编码的地方）
写的是发件人的名字和地址，在信封中间的地方写的是收件人的名字和地址。 收发双方的地址
都要按照由小及大的顺序排列，依次是：第一行
写房屋号、门牌号码、街道或 路名，第二行写市（县）、省名，第三行写国家名称。需要注意
的是，寄往国外的求职信都要加上“中国 ”字样
，邮政编码位于省或者直辖市那行的行尾，而且一定是在国名前。对于发件人来说，如果你留< br>下的是学校班级地址，则一般顺序为：第一行写
班级、专业，第二行写系别，第三行写学校（如 果系和学校字数少，也可以写在一行），第四
行写市（县）、省。你可以每一行后都加上逗号
，最后一行句号，也可以行尾不加任何标点符号。此外，名字要写在地址之前。

（2）信件的格式
中文信件往往第一行是称呼，第二行开始就是正文了。英文 信件则不然，尽管信封上的收件人
和发件人双方的地址都已经写得很明白，但在求
职信的开头 还需要再次引述，然后才是称呼。在英文求职信中，发件人的地址一般放在信的左
上角或右上角，因此通 常被称为“信头”。日期
的位置也有讲究。缩进式的信，日期一般放在信头下的右上角；顶行式的信则 打在左上角。在
写法上，美式习惯为月、日、年排列，而且日一
般用基数词，如“October 12,2004”；按照英式习惯，日期的顺序为日、月、年，而且日一般
用序数词，如“3rd November,2004”。“年”
前要有逗号，这点应该注意。

常用语言
（1）称呼用语
信函中使用的礼节性称呼 很多。一般说来，给男士写信用“Mr.”（先生），给女士写信用“Miss”
（小姐）、“ Mrs.”（夫人）或“ Ms.”
（女士）。近年来，越来越多的人喜欢用“Ms.”来笼统地称呼 女性，这样可以避免判断不清对
方婚否等敏感话题所带来的尴尬，是一种大趋势
。当然，也可 以根据收信人的身份，用学位、头衔等常用词后缀收信人的姓，例如：Dr.（Doctor，
博士）Z hang，Prof.（Professor,教授）Zh
ou， Pres.（President ，经理、会长、校长）Liu,等等。如果对收信人的性别、姓名、职务或
其他资料掌握不多的话，用一 句“Dear sir or
madam”最合适。如果收信人不是具体的某个人而是机关或者单位 ，则只写负责人的职位和公司
或者机构的名称，如:The Manager, CP Group或

The President，Jinghui Company等。

（2）正文的表达方法举例
开头部分:
My interest in the position of … has prompted me to forward my resume for your review
and consideration.
因为对××一职感兴趣，所以奉上我的简历，请查阅和考虑。
Learning from Mr. Zhang that you are wanting a … I would like to apply to this position.
从张先生那里得知，贵单位正在招聘××人选，我愿意应聘此职。
The … position advertised in 51Job on October 12 intrigues me. I believe you will find
me well- qualified.
我对10月12日《51Job》上刊登的××一职很感兴趣。相信您将发现我是这一职位的合适人选。
My desire to be one of your group prompted me to forward the attached for your

（3）附件的表达
如果求职信带有附件，可以用Enclosure或者缩写形式Enc .进行表达。要注意在此项下附
件的份数及种类。如果是两个以上的附件，注意要用复数形式Encls .或者Enclosures。如：３
Enclosures: An Autobiography; A Photocopy of Degree Certificate; A Photograph。
（4）结束用语
结束用语是写在结尾的告别话语，也称结尾问候语。位于正文下面隔两三 行的位置，一般
从中间偏右的地方开始写起。常用的结束用语主要有
：Sincerely, Yours sincerely, Yours truthful, Yours faithfully, Yours truly, Yours
等，首字母大写而且每个词后都要加逗号。
