为什么许多同学谈起作文就谈虎色变,望而生畏,
写不出一篇好的文
章呢?我从事英语教学已十年有余,慢慢摸索了一些作文指导的方
法,其中最
好的一点就是面批。
面批就是教师与学生面对面的合作互动研讨,找出作文中的一些需要改正的地方,并找出解决问题的对策的一种批改方式。初中英语
作文由于相对来讲更多的是完整的
表达一件事情或一种观点,语言
连贯,通顺是最基本的要求,而在思想的深度上要求要相对较低,
因此这种矫正更多的也是在语言通顺和连贯上。高效评改是英语作
文教学中广大教师追求的目标。教师
单向的精批细改,在现实中换
来的往往是:第一种极少数学生认真看批语,并且理解批语的含义,
也懂得去思索并改正;第二种一部分学生看完批语万事大吉,或懂
或不懂;第三种看了根本不懂,也谈
不上思考或改正。仅靠集体讲
评,那也只能使极少数学生获益,很难有整体推进。而面批作文却
有众多好处。
可能传统意义上人们认为面批一定是一对一的对面谈话,我认为只
要
是当面批改,不一定得一对一。所以我平时使用的面批有两种,
一种是一对一的单个面批,一种是集体面
批。
单个面批
一、单个面批的频率和时间。
一
个学期我对学生一对一单个面批少则三四次,多则七八次。这一
般是利用课余时间。农村孩子读初中后都
是在校住宿,所以我一般
选择晚上来辅导。这个时间较为充裕,另外请学生来办公室或我自
己去
教室,学生都很乐意,乡村的晚上比较安静,也有利于辅导。
二、单个面批的好处。
(一)有利于师生感情沟通。 面对面平等对话,批的是作文,交流
的是情感,特别是平时作文水平差的同学,教师对其个性中的闪光
之处,满腔热情地鼓励,同时
恰如其分地指出作文中的不足,使学
生既感到是朋友的交谈,又感到是行家的教诲。这样
一次心贴心的
面批,学生收获的可能就是终生的感激。那么他
们就会对英语的学习产生兴趣,而兴趣是最好的老师,进步自然就
会接踵而来。
(二) 有利于评改效益最大化。面批时,教师就谋篇布局、遣词造句
等方面进行现场点评,
一次一个或几个重点,好在哪里,不足在何
处,挖深说透,能使学生真正明白自己的得失,也有利于其自
改。
面批时,教师多评少改,多建议少限制,就能给学生留下足够的个
人思维空间。同时,教师
要抓要点记录下每个学生的问题,以便学
生自改后再次点评。这样一来,学生们既有了自改的方向,又有
了
自改的动力。只有增强学生的自改意识,使学生养成自改习惯,作
文才可能有质的飞跃。
(三)可使学生及时清楚的认识到自己的问题,需注意哪些问题,
该如何改进等。笔批
作文尽管有细致的眉批,详尽的总评语等,但
对于学生来说,好比雾里看花,或者说只知其然,而不一定
知其所
以然。面批时,我一面拿着笔,一面指着学生的文句读下去,我字
斟句酌,学生边听边思
考,注意力肯定很集中,对老师指出的问题
就会铭记于心,自然利于作文的改进。
三、单个面批中也需要有分层次指导。
对于基础较好的学生,一般是我先通读一遍他的作文
,感受一下文
章的连贯性和通顺性,甚至思想性。然后让他自己评价,并发现一
些问题,探讨并
找出解决的办法。若有未发现的,再指出并作讨论。
另外,字词短语方面的错误,则读第二遍,字斟句酌
,有错的地方,
我会停下手中的笔,提示,让他自己修改,有时,修改的方法并不
止一种,只要
改得正确,及时鼓励。
对于基础不太好的学生,我以鼓励为主。一般我只提出两点或三点<
br>错误,并说明原因,有时这些同学的作文,包括字词短语在内的,
句子结构,时态等的错误可能较
多,要是一一改正,学生的印象肯
定不深,改得整篇都是红批语或说得太多,结果没有一点能吃透,接受不了,会打消学生的积极性。只点出两三点,又是坐在老师身
边,提醒下次注意,往往使其印象
深刻。
这一学期八年级作文,where did you go on vacatio
n?由于是第一
篇作文,我每位学生都是一对一面批的。英语学习委员的作文,写
得较好。我首
先给予了肯定,然后问她是否有改进的地方。例如,
内容可以更充实等。另一位英语偏科学生,尽管写
得错误较多,我
只提出两点:一是由于是表示过去的事情,应使用过去时;二是课
本中多次出现的句子i bought something special for my
mother.

something 的用法。让他修改。
四、反馈结果。
面批之后,对于写的不太好的学生,我通常让他就坐在我身边,就
原来的作文进行修改,并整理好,其实也是要求再写一遍。写好后,
肯定他们的进步。 当然这样的批
改指导比较花时间,但是学生能懂,
能进步,就很好了。另外一种就是集体面批,相对来讲,时间就比<
br>较集中,效率高,效果也明显。集体面批
集体面批也可以说是笔批、学生自批和集体
点评的结合。分为三部
分:(一)是上课之前我来完成的,我有针对性的找到这次作文中
全班典
型、具有代表性的错误或需要点评的地方,纪录下来,包括
典型错误、如何修改,以及作文中有典型错误
的学生的名字,一同
输入电脑,等上课时呈现在班班通的屏幕上。(二)上课时,将学
生四人分
成一个小组,小组成员交换作文,互相批改,讨论并修改。
还要找出四人作文中的典型问题,记录下来。
(三)小组代表向全
班陈述典型问题,老师则结合自己的记录对这些问题作讨论,评讲。
评讲时
,就这些同学的名字,提醒注意。
一、集体面批的频率和时间
一学期
我对学生集体面批的次数是两到三次。一般是安排在课堂上,
一般一次作文使用一节课的时间。
二、集体面批的好处
有利于学生之间合作交流。批改中,他们做找到典型性的问
题所在,
以及讨论解决方案。这种交流,有利于激发学生的学习兴趣,学生
参与评析,体现他们
的主体地位,让他们主动参与。而且,批阅中,
他们找到合适的解决方案,就会有一种自豪感。这也利于
增进他们
之间的友谊,还有助于形成同学之间相互学习的良好氛围。总之,
会修改别人的作文,
自然会提高自己的写作水平。还有利于帮助掌
握重点难点,及时修改。我上课之前对典型错误的罗列,课
堂上分
小组讨论的纪录,都是需要注意的重点和难点。讨论如何修改之后
再集中讲评,强化了重
点,又解决了难点,肯定起到很好的效果。
三、集中面批时需要注意的问题
(一)课前准备要充分。实际上,课前我已经将所有的作文看过一
遍,只不
过评语不是写在作业本上,而是自己的笔记中,学生作文的优劣尽
在自己心中,这样才
能找到问题的关键所在,上课才能评得恰如其
分。
(二)分组要搭配好。每个学生
基础不一,但各个小组平均水平要
差不多,才能很好的发现问题,利于学生取长补短,增加学生信心。<

(三)尽量让学生先自己讨论修改方案,然后陈述,教师的点评放
在最后,并且要精
而准。也就是说这种批改要尽量体现学生的主体
作用,尊重学生的讨论结果,我更多的是引导和最后的总
结。
在教育学中,有因材施教原则要求教师针对不同的学生,采用不同
的方法,单
个面批正是如此;又有学生为主体教师为主导原则,要
求充分发挥学生的主观能动性,积极主观地参与教
学的每一个环节,
集体面批正体现了这个原则。教师与学生、学生与学生平等交流,
教师的语言
、态度显示对学生的爱、耐心与激情,这能消除学生对
英语写作的恐惧,激发他们学习英语的兴趣,建立
英语写作的信心。
叶圣陶先生说过:“教师独改,不如与学生共改,为效更大。”在面批过程中,学生的思维一直处于激活状态,他们写作的心理历程会
被一路倾听,老师和同学的合理化
建议会被他们欣然接受,合理的
观点会被赞扬,有异议的想法也会得到尊重。最后在共同的努力中
得到提高。
