The lady tall you see
In
her robe of brocade,
Is daughter of Lord Qi,
Wife to Wei of high grade,

a mighty one.
Like fard congealed her skin is
tender,
Her fingers like soft blades of reed,
Like larva white her neck is shender,

Retire, officials, from the scene!
Leave duke and his bride without delay!
The Yellow River wide and deep
Rolls
northword its jubilant way.
When nets are
spread out, fishes leap
And throw on reeds
much spray.
See how the richly-dressed bride
keep
Company with her lord on bridal day!
