access, approach, challenge,
①【aanthe + n., . + n., vt. +
词的,空格处应填入名词;
②【n. + v.】即空格处后面是动词的,空格处应填入该动词的主语(名词);
③【prep. + n.】
词的宾语,空格处应为及物动词;
②【. + vi. 】即空格处前面是名词代词,后面没有宾语,空格处应填不及物动词;
③【. + vi. + adv. prep.】
处应填入不及物动词,与副词介词构成固定搭配;
④【. + link +
adj.】
系动词或be动词;
⑤【to + v原 或to + v-ing】
①【adj. + n. 或n.
+adj.】即空格处前面或者后面为名词的,空格处应填入形容词;
②【adv. +
adj.】即空格处前面是副词的,空格处应填入形容词;
③【link vbe +
adj.】
①【adv. + v. 或v.
+adv.】即空格处前面或者后面为动词的,空格处应填入副词;
②【adv. +
adj.】

Considering how much time people

They make businesses work better,

Corporate and
institutional office designers often struggle to

(especially in relation to computerization). These

All these 50 of office design are related.

phenomenon is __48__
changing notions of
privacy, individuality, security, and even
humanity. Susan Boyle became a(n)

When young
people begin to live independently, home-hunting
can involve some stress. But
they would do
well to remember that a new __4l_ is available
–micro-homes.
Called houses,these houses have
all living necessities in a small _42_, including
kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Generally under
50 square meters, most tiny houses
accommodatejust one or two people though some
claim the space for more. What's lost in size
isnot lost in design as these homes are often
quite unique and modern in design.
Besides an
attractive appearance, tiny houses can also boast
_43_ practical features. Making
the best of
urban space, the 72-to 122-centimeter-wide Keret
House in Warsaw, the world's
narrowest home,
filled in a corridor. The prototype (原型) home
Ecocapsule uses solar power,
wind power and
rainwater collection to enable its owner to live
_44__ anywhere. A system of rails
allows the
DALE micro-home to adjust room size and number as
well as addingthe option ofan
open or __45__
courtyard.
Visually __46__ as micro—homes are,
there are a few drawbacks to consider before
gettingcomfortable on a mini-couch. Moving
into a tiny house requires the ___47_ ofmost
non-essentials, no matter the emotional
connection to them. Guests will also mostly be out
of the
question as the __48_ a space may even
cause an unaccompanied individual to experience
some
cabin fever. Andfinally, a micro-home is
likely a(n) _49__living option for most people
since they
will probably start families and
acquire more possessions.
Though the
limitations will scare some, there is usually a
benefit. A small size results in a
small price
tag and small bills, making tiny houses easier to
save up for and budget. And though
you won't
have much stuff around the house, this can provide
the comfort of simple living and
maintenance.
Micro-homes are also practically mobile and boast
eco-friendliness that can‘t be
__50_ by other
homes. They probably aren’t for everyone or
forever, but when it comes to
yournext (or
first) home, they could bejust what you need.

Are you a
science fan? If so, which area interests you:
physics, chemistry, or biology?
Whichever area
it is, science is all about finding answers and
_41______. Sure, we can read
books and find
out how many things work and learn equations or
formulas to help us better
understand the
world around us. However, the information we
_42______from books needs to be
put into
practice and then used in research to make further
_43______.
The annual “Shanghai Future Science
Stars” Contest was held recently, with a variety
of
entries in different fields, from physics
to medicine, submitted(提交) by adolescent science
enthusiasts from across the city. This year
some notable submissions, ranging from a jumping
robotic frog to the _44______properties of
titanium dioxide(二氧化钛) on hair against UV rays,
_45______the adolescent scientists’
innovations and research skills.
In the past,
China was a culture of creativity and innovation
that contributed some major
_46______to the
world, such as the printing press, paper, the
compass and gunpowder. This
contest is aimed
at nurturing(培养) that creativity and
_47______people to put into practice what
they’ve learnt from books.
This nurturing
needs to be started in school; science needs to be
taught in a way that is fun
and engages
students’ minds. Simply studying other people’s
experiments and being told the
results isn’t
something that _48______a student’s imagination.
If students are able to conduct
some of the
smaller experiments themselves, then maybe they
will discover a passion for science
they
didn’t know they had before.
The world is
always _49______. Today’s scientists and
innovators won’t be around forever,
so now is
the time to find new talent. The next Einstein or
Edison might be sitting next to you in
class,
or it could even be you and you just don’t know
it. These competitions are aimed at giving
people hands-on experience and the platform to
show what they can do.
Next time you’re
in class, don’t just read and listen; try to think
of ways what you are
learning can be
__50_____to real-life situations. Look around!
It’s an interesting world and
maybe you can
make it a little better to live in.
