i miss my friend.
linda evans was my
best friend—like the sisiter i never had.
later, because my family moved away, linda and
i kept in touch
throug letters. and we saw
each other on special time---like my
wedding
and linda’s. soon we were busy with children and
moving to new homes, and we wrote less
often.
one day a card that i sent came
back, stamped “address
unknow.” i had no idea
how to find linda.
over the years, i
missed linda very much. i wanted to share my
happiness and my sadness. there was an empty
place in my
heart that only a friend like
linda could fill.
she called as soon as
she got my letter. “linda evans wagman
is my
mother.” she said excitedly.
minutes
later i heard a voice that i knew very much, ever
after
40 years, laughed and cried and caught
up on each other’s
lives. now the empty place
in my heart is filled. and there’s one
thing
that linda and i know for sure: we won’t lose each
other
again!

i live in
the school now, i will go home on the weekend, at
first,
i thought living in school could make
me focus on my study,
while the fact is not.
at noon, when i take a snap, the noise
from
the building machine is so loud, our school is
under
construction now, so the workers work
day and night. but i
couldn’t sleep well, my
head aches, without not good sleep, i
can’t focus my mind to study. what’s
more, some students are
playing games
in the corridor, they laugh so loudly that do
not realize they are
bothering us. i hope the
school could let the workers stop
working at
