nowadays there are still many behaviors against public
morality, such as spiting or littering in public places, cutting in
line, wasting water or electricity and so on.

one of the main reasons for these immoral behaviors is that
some people lack personal manners and public consciousness.
actually these small things in many peoples eyes have brought
great bad effects on our community. above all, these immoral
behaviors disturb social order and disrupt socialsbility.
moreover, ones violating public morality not only evades
others benefits but also does harm to himself. for example, if
most people buy pirated products, those original producers
will suffer great damage and might lose the enthusiasm to
continue their producing. which in turn, influences consumers
taking the profits into consideration, i think it is high time that
we would take more effective measures to improve public
morals.

first of all, education plays a very vital role. we must utilize
education to make people know their behaviors influence on
the society and follow public morals consciously. besides the
government should improve the administration system and
ensure the efficient improvement of administration measures.

内容更加鲜活有说服力。但是，有时因为文化差异，这些比喻甚至
可以说是俚语，在翻译的时候却要求译者深刻的了解，并且巧妙的
转化表达出来。“one hundred years later, the negro lives on a
lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material
prosperity.” （特别注意，此处，n egro作为美国对黑人的俚语鄙称，
且使用是为了表达当时社会对黑人依然不变的严重歧视的愤怒情绪 ，
故翻译时也应该注意这个词以及这段话的准确到位的翻译表达）

一． 简单句和复合句之间的转换。

of withering injustice。此处都是英文中的复合句、复杂句。在转译
为中文，为了符合汉语习惯，不得不将长句断为短剧，更好更地道
的表达原文的意思。而中译文为“10 0年前，一位伟大的美国人签署
了《解放黑奴宣言》，今天我们就是在他的雕像前集会。这一庄严
宣言犹如灯塔的光芒，给千百万在那摧残生命的不义之火中饱受煎
熬的黑奴带来了希望。”就很好的实 现了这一点。

二． 增词法和重复法。

now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial
injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood.兄弟情谊的磐石上的时
候。】but one hundred years later, the negro still is not free.

的the high plane of dignity and discipline，是英文中的句意省略.
故而在翻译成中文的时候，将 其进行重复和扩展，将意思表达得更
加到位。

三． 词类转译。

the fierce of now. 【我们来到这个圣地也是为了提醒美国，现在是
非常】now is the time to make real the promises of 【现在是实
现诺言时候。】这类现象多发生 于名词（英）转译为形容词（中）
或者动词（中）等。这主要是因为中文动词用的多，而英文因为词性转换的缘故有动词、形容词名词化等常见现象。

纵观全文，除了上述情况以外，还有以下的两点特色。

一，语序的调整。因为中英的文化差异 ，语言逻辑也有各自的特定
顺序。因此，在翻译时，每每遇到英文的长句，除了进行适当的断
句 之外，还需要基于汉语的特点进行顺序变换调整，如five score

years ago, a great american, in whose symbolic shadow we
stand today, signed the emancipation proclamat ion.【100年前，
一位伟大的美国人签署了《解放黑奴宣言》，今天我们就是在他的
雕像 前集会。】此处的调整，就很好的将从句和主句区别开来，句
意重点鲜明。and there will be neither rest nor tranquility in

our nation until the bright day of justice emerges. 此处 的句序调
整难度略高，因为还得在充分理解句意的基础上，才能进行调整，
将原文重点凸显出来 。【黑人得不到公民的基本权利，美国就不可
能有安宁或平静，正义的光明的一天不到来，叛乱的旋风就 将继续
动摇这个国家的基础。】

二. 意译的使用。意译在中英文翻译中也极为重 要，虽然平时为了尊
重原文我们更多的选择标准的翻译方式，但在许多时候，由于语言
差异，我 们不能很好的表达，只能用意译来阐述某些词句。如in a
sense weve come to our nations capital to cash a check.

【就某种 意义而言，今天我们是为了要求兑现诺言而汇集到我们国
家的首都来的。】此处为了把抽象的比喻具体化 ，使得意思更明确，
所以选择了意译，从而避免文章的较重翻译痕迹的出现。instead of

insufficient funds. 【美国没有履行这项神圣的义务，只是给黑人开
了一张空头支票，支票上盖着“资金不足”的戳子后便退 了回来。】
