《A silly
snake》选自《PEP小学英语》教材五年级上册第四单元Part C Story
Time。
在这个单元中孩子们主要学习What can you do? I can…和Can
you…? Yes, I can. No,
I can’t.等句型。因此，这一节故事课主要是
综合孩子们的已有语言知识，在理解故
事的基础上进行有感情的朗读和角色表演。通过理解、朗读、表演
故事等方式进一
步提高学生的综合语言运用能力，以及培养他们自主运用语言的积极态度。
如何带领孩子们在故事情境下理解故事、有感情的朗读故事并表演故事，我通过
Pre-
reading, While-reading 和Post-
reading三个环节进行教学设计。在Pre-reading环
节，我试图通过学生已学过的小故
事的主要内容，来唤醒他们对故事的回忆，进而
引出今天故事中的主人公“Snake”。在While
-reading环节，我先让孩子们带着任
务整体感知故事；然后通过分段精读的方式，一边解决问题
，一边模仿朗读来体会
Snake和Frog的情感，进而学习和理解故事；在Post-readin
g环节，通过学生表演
故事的方式激发学生对故事学习的热情，为以后的故事学习打下良好基础。
Snake: I’m hungry. Mmm … Here comes my tasty
food. Now I can eat.
Frog: Dear snake, wait a
minute. I can do things for you.
Snake: Oh!
What can you do? Can you sing?
Frog: Yes, I
can sing.
Snake: Can you dance?
Frog: Yes,

Snake: OK. There’s a lake near here. Let me
see. Can you swim?
Frog: No! Don’t throw me
into the lake, please! I can’t swim.
Snake:
Oh, you can’t swim.
Frog: Ha Ha! Silly snake!
Now I can run away. Bye!
