systems.
One system consists of state and local
courts
established under the authority of the
state
governments. The other is the Supreme
Court and the
federal court system, created by
Congress under the
authority of the
Constitution of the United States.

of Jury Trials
In most common law
jurisdictions, the jury is
responsible for
finding the facts of the case, while
the judge
determines the law. These “peers of the
accused” are responsible for listening to a
dispute,
