two cents, little pig. I’ll take it. So the
first little
pig bought the straw, and he
built his house. Well, that was
easy. I didn’t
ha*e to work *ery hard, and now I ha*e a new
house. This is great! The first little pig
went inside and
relaxed in his new home.
Now, the second little pig was a little different
from
the first. Because he liked to ha*e lots
of time to play, he
always looked for the
fastest way to do things. The second
little
pig also went to the market in search of supplies
for
his new house. When he saw a man
sellingsticks, he said to
himself.
I
could really build a house quickly with those
sticks.
Sir, how much for those sticks? I will
sell them to you for
three cents. Great! I’ll
buy them. So the second little pig
bought the
sticks and started to build his house.

John is
thirteen now .He began to study in a middle
school two years ago .His family is in a small
*illage and
it’s nearly fi*e kilometers from
the school .He has to get
up early in the
morning .After a quick breakfast he has to
run
to school to get there on time .His father hopes
to
borrow some money to buy a bike for him
,but he know his
mother is always ill and his
father spends much money on her
medicine .He
doesn’t agree with him and keeps running there
e*ery day .Now he’s *ery strong and ne*er late
for class
and his teachers often praise him .
Last week there was a sports meeting in
their
school .John ran faster than any other
boy and won the boy’s
800 metres ,1,500metres
and 3000 metres .He got there gold
medals and
the whole school knew him .His classmates and
teachers offered congratulations to the boy
and he was
happy .He told his grandma about
the good news as soon as he
got home .
“I broke two school records today ,Granny ,”called
out
the boy .
To his surprise ,the old
woman wasn’t happy .She thought
for a while
and said ,”I am sorry to hear that .We ha*e no

money to pay for them
,you know !”
“Goodness me!The moon is really
in the water!”

One day the
king of animals asked a cat to see how his
palace was built. After a few hours, the
little cat came back
and said to the tiger,
“Oh, your palace is *ery large, tall
and
beautiful. ”Se*eral days later the tiger asked a
pig to
see it. He said, “Go and see how my
palace is built. ”But
when the pig came back,
he said to the tiger, “My dear king,
I thought
your palace is beautiful, but it suits yourself
only. ”
The tiger was *ery surprised
when he heard it. “Why are
the cat’s and the
pig’s answers not the same? ”he said to
himself. He then asked a camel to go to ha*e a
look. Before
long the camel ran back out of
breath and said to the tiger,
“Oh, your palace
is too small for you to li*e in, my king. ”
The king became *ery angry when he heard what the
camel
said. He said to the animals angrily,
“Maybe somebody of
you tell lies. Three people
ha*e three ideas. I want to kill
you. ”Just at
the moment, a fox came out to stop the tiger

from doing that. He asked the
tiger himself to go to see it
before killing
them.
After the tiger saw the palace
himself, he thought that
their answers were
all right. He said to the animals, “To
see
with one’s own eyes is more important than only to
hear
others. ”
