Unit 4 We Love Animals
第一课时 Let’s talk and Let’s play
一、教学内容
本课时是《PEP小学英语》三年级上册第四单元第一课时的内容,主
要学习“I have a……”及感叹语“Cool! Super! Great! Wow!”,
要求学生能根据实际情景有感情地表达自己的惊讶之情。
二、教学目标
1.知识目标
①能听懂会说:Look! I have a …….
②在创设的情景中,能用I have a ……表达自己有某物。
③能听懂会说单词monkey, rabbit, panda, cat, dog, zoo.
2.情感目标
①培养学生用英语简单抒发情感的意识,使学生能听懂、会说几个常
用的感叹语:Cool! Super! Great! Wow!
②培养学生热爱动物的情感。
三、教学重、难点
①重点:句型“I have a ……”及感叹语:“Cool! Super! Great! Wow!”
②难点:表示几种动词的单词和感叹语的发音。
四、教学方法
通过课 件、实物、游戏、趣味活动以及体态语等方法,为孩子们创设
一个英语环境,让他们在语境中融入到语言 的学习中。
五、教 具
①动物玩具:monkey, rabbit, panda, dog,duck等

六、教学过程:
Step 1 Warming Up
Let’s sing
T:Hi, boys and girls . It’s time to begin our class. Let’s
sing an English song, OK?
Ss:OK!
T:Stand up , please . Are you ready?
Oh, good! Ready, go!
(The teacher sings together with the students)
Step 2 Presentation
① Lead-in
T:Wow ! Sit down, please! You are so great! Now I introduce
you some friends. They are the same great as you! They can


speak English. Who wants to talk with them?
Ss:Let me try .
(The teacher asks one student to stand up, and makes the
following conversation)
T:(The teacher imitates the voice of a rabbit and shows it to
the class.) How are you?
S1:I’m fine . Thank you very much.
T:Cool! Please have a seat! (The teacher then asks the whole
class.) What’s this?
Ss:Rabbit! (Some students may answer the question in Chinese.)
T:Great! I have a rabbit! (The teacher writes the key sentence
on the blackboard.) Now, continue… (The teacher introduces
other words in the same way .)
②Read after the teacher
T:Wow ! I have so many animals. I love animals. (The teacher
shows the rabbit toy again.) Look, I have a rabbit. Follow me,
please. Rabbit, a rabbit, I have a rabbit.
Ss:Rabbit , a rabbit , I have a rabbit .
(Teach other words in the same way.)
Step 3 Consolidation
① T:Let’s watch TV . When you see an animal, please say it
in English. Understand? (Then the teacher shows pictures.)
Ss:Duck ! Dog! ……
T:Wow ! Great! Cool! Super!
(The teacher evaluates students by using these words.) They are
in the zoo .Follow me, zoo, a zoo, I have a zoo. (The teacher
writes the word on the blackboard.)
② T:Now , let’s listen. Which animals can you hear?
… …
T:Well , we can hear …
Ss: Rabbit, panda, monkey .(The teacher answers together.)
T:Very good ! When we express our feeling of surprise, we can
use Cool! Super! Great! Wow! (The teacher writes the words
on the blackboard.) OK, let’s read.
… …
Step 4 Practice
① T:Now , let’s practice . If I say “I have a rabbit”, you
can say “wow ! or super ! …… ” OK?


Ss:OK !
T:(Show a toy ) Look ! I have a rabbit.
Ss:Wow ! Great! Cool! Super !
T:Let’s make a change . Who wants to be the teacher?
S2:Let me try . (Shows a toy) I have a dog.
Ss:Wow ! Great! Cool! Super!
② T:Super ! Now let’s play an interesting game in pairs. For
example, one student chooses a number, and says “Look! I have
a dog. The other says “Wow!” to express his or her feeling.
Understand?
Ss:Yeah !
(The teacher chooses two or three pairs to play the game.)
Step 5 Conclude and Homework
T: In this period, all of you did a very good job and learnt
a lot. Animals are our friends and we love animals.
① Enjoy a song “ Old Mac Donald ”
T:Oh ! I’m tired. Are you tired? Well, let’s enjoy a song
“Old MacDonald.
② T:Are you happy today ?
Ss:Yes .
T:I’m glad to hear that .After class , please practice
dialogues with your friends . OK? So much for today. See you!
