小学六年级英语小故事篇一
A farmer and his
son, traveling by horse and buggy up a narrow
lane, met a
motorist going the other way.
There was no room to pass for two miles in
either direction. The motorist, in hurry,
honked his horn.
“If you don't back up,”
said the farmer, rolling up his sleeves, “I
won't like what I'm going to have to do.” The
surprised driver put his car in
reverse and
backed up two miles, allowing the horse and buggy
to go by.
“What was it you wouldn't have
liked to have done back there?” asked the
farmer's son.
“Back up two miles,”
replied the farmer.
小学六年级英语小故事篇二
The
monkey mother has two little monkeys. She likes
the younger, not the
other.
One day,
they were playing in a forest when a wolf came
running at them.
The monkey ran away with the
younger monkey in a hurry and left the older
alone. She climbed up a tree and held the
younger in her arms.
After some time, the
wolf went away slowly. The monkey took the baby
out
of her arms. She was surprised to see that
the baby had died, for the baby was
held in
arms too highly. Very long time later, she
remembered to look for the
older baby. The
older baby was hiding in a wood. So he saved
himself.

Sam is a little
fish. He lives in the sea. He is very lonely. He
wants to
have a friend. The friend looks like
him. Sam sees an ink fish. The ink fish
has eight legs. He doesn't look like
Sam. So Sam goes away. Sam meets a shark.
He
wants to say hello to the shark. The shark opens
his big mouth. Sam runs
away quickly. Sam is
tired and hungry. He wants to have a rest. Then he
sees a
round fish. She says to him. “Hello!
Would you like to be my friend?” Sam
answers:
“Of course! But you are round. I am flat.” The
round fish says:
“But we are both fishes.
Sam thinks and says, ”You are right. Let's be
friends.“ They become good
friends.
小学六年级英语小故事篇四
Once there were two mice.
They were friends. One mouse lived in the
country; the other mouse lived in the city.
After many years the Country mouse
saw the
City mouse; he said,
So the City mouse went.
The City mouse said,
your house is not good.
Why do you live in a hole in the field? You should
come and live in the city. You would live in a
nice house made of stone. You
would have nice
food to eat. You must come and see me at my house
in the
city.
The Country mouse went to
the house of the City mouse. It was a very good
house. Nice food was set ready for them to
eat. But just as they began to eat
they heard
a great noise.
The City mouse cried,
quickly and hid.
After some time they
came out. When they came out, the Country mouse
said,
it is nicer to be poor and happy,
than to be rich and afraid.
小学六年级英语小故事篇五
In a country home, a mother hen and her cute
chicks were living happily.
A little girl came
to visit the country home, but was very bored. One
night,
the girl went into the chicken house.
As soon as she went in, there was
disorder.
Here and there cries of the chickens could
be heard. The father, who was
inside, woke up.
“What‘s going on? Why are you
bothering the chickens?” “Because I’m
bored.”
“You have to sleep now, go inside.”
The girl
went into the chicken house, again, the next day.
There was a
racket again, as the chickens were
frightened. The moon in the night sky was
worried. This time, the little girl‘s father
will not be forgiving.
Finally, the sleeping
father woke up. “Why are the chickens crying? By
chance” The father was angry and came out to
the yard.
“What’s wrong with you? Is it okay
to bother animals that can‘t talk?
You need to
be punished.” When the little girl saw her
father’s angry face,
she began to cry.
“It is true that I bothered the chickens, but I
was bored yesterday. But
today I went in to
apologize to the chickens. I was going to hug the
chickens.”
When the father heard what his
daughter said, a smile quickly appeared on
his
face. “You are truly my daughter.” The father
praised his daughter. He
was proud of his
daughter that knew how to apologize. The moon in
the sky gave
a big laugh, too.
小学六年级英语小故事篇六
A man was going to the
house of some rich person. As he went along the
road, he saw a box of good apples at the side
of the road. He said,
want to eat those
apples; for the rich man will give me much food;
he will
give me very nice food to eat.
into
the dust.
He went on and came to a river.
The river had become very big; so he could
not
go over it. He waited for some time; then he said,
rich man's house today, for I cannot get over
the river.
He began to go home. He had eaten
no food that day. He began to want food.
He
came to the apples, and he was glad to take them
out of the dust and eat
them.
Do not
throw good things away; you may be glad to have
them at some other
time.
