Good morning! Honorable expert and dear
teachers!Today my topic is Let’s
learn from
section A in unit1 My Day .Now I will begin my
presentation.
My presentation mainly includes
the following 7 parts.
Part 1. Analysis
of the teaching material.
This lesson is from
unit1,grade5,PEP English Book2,which mainly talks
about
students’ daily life in different period
of time in a day and their arrangements of
activities on the weekend. By learning this
lesson,students can not only use English
to
talk about their daily timetable, but also improve
their communicative awareness.
Part 2.
Analysis of the students.
Students in grade 5
have already learned some basic English background
knowledge. They are active, imaginative and
curious about learning new things.
Therefore,I
will arrange some attractive games to improve
their communicative
abilities and provide them
more chances to use English.
Part 3.
Analysis of the teaching aims.
Knowledge aim:
Students will master the words and sentence
patterns like
When do you do morning
exercises? At 7o’clock.
Ability aim: Students
will improve their listening and speaking
ile,students can use the phrases and sentence
patterns to talk about
their daily timetables.
Emotional aim: Students will cultivate good
living habits and have more interest
in
learning English.
Intercultural communication
aim: Students will have a better understanding of
the differences between Chinese and English
culture in subjects. Students will love
both
Chinese and English subjects.
Part 4.
Analysis of teaching and learning method.
For
teaching method,I’ll mainly adopt Communicative
Approach, Situational
teaching method and
Task-based teaching method to create an active
learning
environment and helps students grasp
the meaning and usage of the new
expressions.
For learning method, I’ll mainly use self-
study and cooperative learning
method,which
can develop students’ team spirit and cultivate
their problem solving
ability.
Part
5. Analysis of the teaching procedure.
This
part includes the following steps.
Step 1.
Lead-in. (about 5 minutes)
At the
beginning of the class,I’ll get students to watch
a video about their old
friend Peppa Pig’s
timetable and daily activities, and then ask
students some
questions,like”How many days are
there in a week?” “What class does Peppa Pig
have on Monday?” This way can create a better
English learning

students’ interest and get them to think about the
new

Step2. Presentation.
(about 5 minutes)
Firstly,I’ll lead in the new
expressions like eat breakfast,have...class,play
sports,do morning exercises,eat dinner,by
presenting pictures or drawing

pronunciation and usage of the new phrases in
detail.
Next,with the help of the CAI,I set a
situation to help students understand the
way
of using the new phrases and help to lead in the
new sentence pattern When do

. Finally,I will play a video
about the dialogue and get students to
listen
and imitate the dialogue. The purpose is to make
students have a better
understanding of the
new expressions and help students use the language
in a real
situation.
Step3. Practice.
(about 10 minutes)
In order to make students
read the new phrases correctly,I will play three
games
with students: bomb game,finger show and
voice game. In these games,I will correct
students’ pronunciation and their spelling.
Then I ‘ll divide the whole class into two
groups to practice the conversation

timetable in Let’s learn. The purpose is to
consolidate the sentence pattern in a true
situation and to check if students can use
the
new expressions skillfully.
