可能不是很了解这个节日,可以用中文介绍这个节日的由
来,让学生对这个节日有一个大概的了解。)
(国旗日是纪念美国大陆会议1777年6月14日通过了美国第一面正
式国旗。目前,每逢是
日,到处可见美国国旗迎风飘扬,全国各地都
要举行纪念活动,以示对国旗的敬意。每到这一天,美国的
各公共场
所、大型建筑、家里都挂国旗,各州还举行各种纪念仪式。其最重要
的仪式就是在国旗
下进行忠诚宣誓。于1949年正式确认6月14日为
美国国旗日。)

有一个了解。每年的11月的最后一个星期四(the last Thursday

November)就是美国的Thanksgiving Day,就是感恩节。几百年前,<
br>远渡重洋来到美洲的英国移民,为了感谢上帝赐予的丰收,进行了狂
欢活动,从此习俗延续下来了
,并逐渐风行各地。)
(设计意图:用中文具体介绍这两个节日,使学生更好的深入理解课
文,了解西方的节日文化。)

(课文播放三遍,第一遍:了解故事大意,明确主题,形成整体印象。
第二遍:
弄懂比较容易理解和掌握的句子,大致明确难点在哪里,试
着猜测生词的意思。尝试概括全文的大意。第
三遍:尝试理解较难的
句子,结合上下文和插图理解句意,逐渐把握全文并找出问题的答案。)
(设计意图:试着猜测生词的意思,提高学生猜词的能力和阅读的能
力。)
学习本课主要的单词和难理解的句子
1、板书:festival, special,
meal, sound
利用单词卡片教新单词可以放到句子中理解。(全班读,小组读,个
别读。)

2、T: Boys and girls, listen to the tape again
and follow the tape and
answer my questions.
(把问题写在黑板上。)

(在第一遍是认真的听,并且加深对刚才所学单词的读音。在听第二
遍后回答黑板上的问题。在
第三次放录音的时候,让学生跟读课文中
的句子,每句之后停顿,让学生重点模仿句子的语音语调。)
