Lesson :
lesson one ID card

Background information:
Student: 45 junior hight student in the first year.
Lesson duration: 45mins

Teaching objective:
By the end of the lesson , students should be able to
1) use“what’s your_____”in the normal communication.
2) understand what is the lastfirst name and the different impression
between Chinese and English.
3) know how to use the right form in writing the address in English.
4) perform the conversation fluently and confidently.
5) speak and use English bravely.

Teaching contents:
Teaching important point:
① can ask question about age address name number ect by using
“what’s your ___” form.
② enable to use the formal form of name and address in English.
Teaching difficult point:
① can understand the different nameaddress’ s impression between


Chinese and English.

Teaching aids:
tapes(text and exercise), blackboard, chalk, PPT


Teaching procedures:
Step 1). Review

5mins


A) Homework checking
B) Questions and answers about the last lesson
Step 2). Introduction(5mins)
A) Teacher ask students found out the information in their school ID card.
B) Teacher choose two or three students come to the blackboard and
write it down in English.
Step 3). Conversation learning(20mins)
A) Students listen to the tape of the text .(the first time listening )
B) Students listen again, pay attention to the impression of name address
and take some notes while listening .(the second time listening)
C) All the class check the answer in the blackboard while the third time
listening with the help of the teacher, and find out how to ask question
about name, address, number and so on.
D) Teacher explain the important point and difficult point to the student.
Step 4). Task performing(10mins)
A) Students perform the conversation and ask questions in pairs.
B) Teacher ask some students come front to perform in pairs.


Step 5). Practice(5mins)(according to the real lesson this part can be
added or reduced)
A) Students do exercise book (correction).
B) Students dictate a short conversation.

Optional activities and homework:
Optional activities: students make a drama in groups according to the
text.
Homework: students copy the text twice.
