【篇一:全英文英语教案】

Ⅱ.teaching aims:

by the end of the lesson, students will be able to

1. use the new words and phrases to express themselves;

2. know the functions of present participle and make
sentences with the grammar;

3. find some cultural differences between chinese and
american.

Ⅲ.teaching contents:

1. vocabulary and phrases that help to express cultural

differences, such as embarrassed, embarrassing, exchange,
host, hospitable, appetite, modest, stare at, have a difficult
time doing sth. insist keep on doing sth. notice hear see
sb. doing sth.

2. functions of present participle:

⑴ hear sb. doing sth. (object complement)

⑵ an embarrassing experience (attribute)

⑶ what he did is amazing. (predicate)

⑷ i went back to the room closing the door. (adverbial)

3. some cultural differences between chinese and american in
three different situations.

Ⅳ.teaching aids: ppt, pictures, paper.

Ⅴ.teaching procedures:

step 1. lead- in

t: good morning, everyone!

ss: good morning, teacher!

t: today we will learn lesson 3 living abroad. first, let us look at
two pictures. (present the pictures.) the american mouse and


the chinese mouse reply differently when they are praised, one
in a confident way while the other in a modest way. so we will
find some other cultural differences between american and
chinese through the lesson.

step 2. learn the new words and phrases

t: before the text, let us learn the new words. oh, the first two
words are embarrassing. do not worry! now, we only need to
recognize them. “embarrassed” means feeling shy and stupid,
and we say sb. feel embarrassed. “embarrassing” refers to
making sb. feel shy and stupid, and we say sth. is
embarrassing. the subject is different, and you can compare
them with “interested” and “interesting”. understand?

ss: yes!

t: ok! next, the word “change” means “交换”, while
“exchange” refers to“交换或交流”. for example, “cultural
exchange” means — (ask students to translate it.)

ss: 文化交流.

t: yes! then, when foreign friends come to china, we chinese,
as the host or hostess, should be hospitable. (point at the ppt
and say “friendly and generous”.) appetite ---when the host or
hostess is hospitable, the guest may feel delighted and have a
good appetite (point at the ppt and say “desire for food”.) now,
the last two words. (point at the ppt.) most chinese are modest.
(point at the ppt and say “talking little about one’s own ability
and achievement) “stare at” means looking at for a long time
without moving. read after me —“embarrassed”.

ss: embarrassed.

(read after me: embarrassing, exchange, host, hospitable,
appetite, modest, stare at)

t: do you know how to use the new words in phrases? let us
learn them together. (next ppt.) no strange words in the
phrases, so we start directly. xxx, the meaning of the first one,
please.

student a: 度过一段困难时期

t: yes, sit down please. this phrase is similar to “have difficulty
doing sth.” xxx, the second one, please.

student b: 有一次尴尬经历

t: right! sit down, please. “look embarrassed” means “看起来
尴尬”. and what about the fourth one?


ss: 胃口好,有食欲.

t: good! then, both “insist on” and “keep on” mean “继续”. the
last one! “notice hear see + sb. + doing sth.” means “注意到
听到看到+某人+正在做某事”. (show the sentences.) xxx, could
you translate the sentences into chinese for us? student c: 我
听见她正在唱歌和我听到过她唱歌。 t: good! quite clearly. thank
you!

step 3. learn the new grammar

t: let us learn the new grammar—present participle (show the
next ppt.) firstly, “hear” is the verb; “sb.” is the object; so
“doing sth.” is an object complement. (point at the words “an”,
“experience”,“embarrassing”) article,noun,an attributive
adjective!now, you tell me the function. the third one, xxx,
please.

student d: “what he did” is the subject. “is” is the verb .
“amazing” is predicate.

t: well done! “amazing” shows the feature of the subject. (run

step1 review

talk about the harm of pollution in last topic. there are many
kinds of pollution, such as water pollution, air pollution, light


pollution, litter and so on. but do you know how these kinds of
pollution affect our environment? volunteer? example:
s1:water pollution makes some animals dead. s2: water
pollution makes some plants dead.

s3: people and animals can’t drink the water. s4: air pollution
causes the green house effect. s5: air pollution makes people
sick and even causes cancer. step2presentation

and learn the new words. in order to encourage them to
read words, organize competitions find out who can read the
words fast and correctly. 2. analyze the dialogues. 3. according
to the translation, try to act or read the dialogues.
step3practice

join the sentences with “or”, “and”, “but” or “while” after the
example. (1)you nod your head and it means agreement.

(2)hurry up, or you’ll miss the train. (3)water is important but
some people do not save it.

(4)some people protect animals while others kill animals.

step4 summary summarize the new words and phrases. step 5
homework:

write down the sentences on the blackboard.

ladies and gentlemen. it’s my pleasure to be here sharing my
lesson with you. i’m …….. the content of my lesson is junior
english grade eight book one unit two how often do you
exercise? this unit is mainly about free time activities. it talks
about how often you do things and some adverb frequency.
now, i will explain the lesson from the following aspects.

part 1. teaching material:

the lesson is the fourth period of this unit. such topic is very
practical in real life. good start is the half of success. and it
has laid a solid foundation for the further study. moreover, this
lesson is also tell the ss how to develop a good and healthy
habit.

part 2. teaching aims:

on studying the teaching material and analyzing the regulation
of ss’s growing of mind, i put forward the following three
teaching objects according to my overall teaching idea.

(1). language object


1. to enable the ss to understand, speak, spell, recite some
new words, such as result percent through although and so on.

2. to get the ss master the sentence pattern:

1).we found that only 15 percent…….

2). it’s good to relax by using……

3). we think the best way to relax is through exercise.

4) it’s healthy for the mind and the body.

only after the ss master the basic language knowledge , can
they communicate with each other better.

(2). ability object

the ss can use the sentence patterns of “ how often do you
exercise?” “i always usuallyoften……” and some a good and
healthy habit. and further develop their language ability of
using the sentence patterns in their daily life.

(3). emotion object

by completing the task the ss increase their interest and set
up self- confidence in language study. and i think the ss should
learn how to develop a good and healthy habit.

part 3. important and difficult points:

according to the teaching aims. i think the important point of
this lesson is how to master the adverb frequency. the difficult
point is how to express the adverbs of frequency in our daily
life freely and correctly, and at the same time, pay attention to
some difficult sentence patterns :although many ss like to
watch sports, game shows are the most popular. it’s good to
relax by using……

part is of students:

the ss have learnt english for many years, they have deep
interests in it, and the most important is that the topic relates
to their daily life.

well, how to achieve the teaching objects better, to stress the
key point and break through the difficult point, the key is how
to make use of the proper teaching methods, i’ll talk about my
teaching methods below. part 5. teaching method:

according to the modern perception theories and social
intercourse teaching theories. i adopt the total situational
action and task-based language teaching.

at the same time, make use of all kinds of teaching means,
such as ppt, flash-cards…it can mobilize the ss’ enthusiasm
and creativity in learning english.


part 6. teaching procedures

as to teaching procedures, i designed the following steps to
achieve my teaching aims. they are “revision and lead-
in ,presentation ,reading task, home work ,blackboard design.”

step one: revision and lead-in

greet the ss and have a daily conversation to review the
sentence pattern :how often do you do…..?i usually
oftensometimes …do….then i will show some topics that the
ss are interested in such as “what they usually do in their free
time?”“how often do you surf the internet?” to lead the three
topics we’ll talk in the text.

(purpose: according to the psychological characteristics of ss,
a relaxing conversation can make ss feel pleased and satisfied,
at the same

time it can also arouse exciting motion. and reviewing the
sentence pattern they learnt can arouse the ss participation
desire, and lead the ss into a thick english studying
atmosphere. )

step two: presentation

1. do a suvey

do a survey about the frequency of exercise, use of internet
and watching tv among the ss in their free time. first i will ask
the ss to discuss the frequency of exercise together and then
divide the ss into three groups to discuss the other two topics,
finally i will ask some ss to summary their results.

2. discussion

according to the result of the survey, get the ss to discuss
which is the best way to relax and why? let the ss to talk about
their own opinions freely and at last the teacher will sum them
up.

(purpose:to do a survey is much easier for the ss to learn and
grasp the meanings of the text. proper competition can arouse
their interest in learning english. and in this part discussion
can help the ss take active part in the activities, especially for
the ss who have trouble in english. with no doubt, this will
encourage the ss to speak english bravely.) step three: reading
task

after finishing the discussion, the ss will know much about the
main idea of the text. it will be much easier for the ss to
understand the text by


themselves. so i will ask the ss to do the following three steps
all by themselves and i will give them a hand if they need.

1 pre-task

ask the ss to finish the pie chart by themselves after fast
reading. then check their answers.

-task

get the ss to read the text carefully and ask some of them to
answer the questions of 2c.

-task

then read the text again and according to the article and pie
chart, make the ss write down their answers of 2d to
consolidate the adverbs of frequency.

(purpose: it can help them to understand the text clearly and
impressively to finish the text by the ss themselves . in this
way,their reading abilities will be well trained. in addition, it
creates the condition of a relaxed and natural reading
atmosphere. )

step four: homework

after class, ask the ss to do a survey about reading books,
going shopping, drawing pictures among their classmates and
friends.

(purpose: to give the ss an interesting way to consolidate
what they learnt, i let the ss to do a survey in this part. i think a
survey has a lively rhythm and is easy for them to finish. the ss
can be much familiar
