Preview the stories by having the Ss look at the pictures on P52 and talk about them
freely.
1. Have students read the first story silently.
2. Ask them if they have any questions.
3. Check their understanding of the passage by following questions.

What do Jackson’s friends and neighbors say about Linda?
According to them, what is she like?
Step IV Read the second story
Preview the stories by having the Ss look at the pictures on P52 and talk about them
freely.
1. Ask some Ss to read the passage one by one.
2. Ask them if they have any questions.
3. Check their understanding of the passage by following questions.
