Step 3 Explanation
Mary wants to know what he thinks of the trip. 玛丽想知道他认为旅程怎么样。
这是一个含有what引导的宾语从句的复合句,主句的主语是Mary,谓语是wants to know,
宾语是一个特殊疑问句,原句应为what does he think of the trip?但在宾语从句中,从句的语
序要用陈述语序,其中疑问词仍在句首,位置不变;另外宾语从句 的时态与主句的时态一致。

1. For many students, it is easy to get to school. 对于许多学生来说,到达学校很容易。
此句中的it 是形式主语,真正的主语是后面的动词不定式to get to school. 句型It’s+
adj.(+for sb)+ to do sth.表示“(对某人来说)做某事怎么样”。如:


It’s very important to have a healthy lifestyle.拥有一个健康的生活方式很重要。
It’s easy to translate the word into Chinese.把这个单词翻译成汉语很容易。
2. So these students go on a ropeway to cross the river to school.所以这些学生靠滑铁索来
过河上学。
