Good morning, my dear judges ! Nice to see
you!I’m number 5 . I am
so lucky that I have
this chance to stand here to sharing my lesson
with
you. today I will talk about part A
let’s learn of unit 2 in book 6,PEP
primary
English. My teaching design contains the following
parts:
Firstly ,I will talk about the teaching
material
The topic of this lesson is “My
favorite season” of unit 2 part A let’s
learn
in book 6 ,PEP primary English .Such a topic is
related to our
daily life, so it is helpful
to raise students’ learning interest and it will
be
also helpful to improve their spoken
English.
Secondly, I will talk about
students
The students of grade 5 are
active , especially for the new things.
They
want to speak English , show themselves ,but some
of them are not
confident .
Then I will
talk about teaching aims
knowledge aim: be
able to listen,say recognize the words and
sentences:season spring summer autumn winter
which season do you
like best?
ability
aim: can use simple English to play games and
perform short
stories or fairy tales with the
teacher’s help.
Emotional aim: to build self-
confidence and to speak English
bravely ,not
afraid of making mistakes . can actively cooperate
with
others to complete learning tasks.
Part 4: key point &difficult point
Key point is to make sure Ss can pronounce and
use the new words
and sentences correctly.
difficult point is how to act out the
dialogues and use them in real
life .
After this part I will talk about teaching
methods
In this lesson, i will mainly use
‘situational teaching method’,
‘Task-based
teaching meth
od
’ , and ‘play method’. The
purpose of taking
some different methods is to
keep the Ss’ attention and make the class
active.
Then the most important Part :
teaching procedure
I’ll finish this lesson in
6 steps :
Step1:warming-up
This step will
take about 3 minutes. Before my class , i will let
all
students stand up to say an English song
‘follow me’ with me .After this
song ,i will
have a free talk with them . The purpose is to
arouse Ss’
interest and to establish an
pleasant atmosphere of learning English .
Step2 :presentation
This step will take
about 10 minutes
With the help of the PPT,I
present four pictures ,ask students to guess
what season is it?Picture one: the tree with a
few green leaves .Picture
two: the tree
have more and more leaves. Picture three :the
leaves of
the tree turn e four: the tree with
a lot of i will
let Ss play the game
‘opposite tune games’ ..After teaching the new
words,I will present the sentence;Which season
do you like best? Then
ask students to answer
it.
The purpose of is to present the new words
and sentences to help
students understand the
language easily.
Step 3 :practice
This
step will take about 10 minutes . I’ll guide Ss to
play game “the
bomb”. Every time ,the teacher
or one student choose a word card as the
bomb,then put it in all word cards . If the
word not the bomb, Ss speak it
loudly ,if the
word is the bomb ,Ss say “bomb” . After this
game,i will
make a chant .such as :spring
spring spring ,i can fly
summer summer,i can
swim .Autumn autumn autumn, i can pick
winter
winter,happy new year.
The purpose is help
students learn the new words faster and
arouse
their interest in learning English.
Step 4 :
consolidation
This step will take about 10
minutes .
1. The boys and girls will be
divided into two groups to have a
competition
by reading the dialog and role-playing .Then ,I’ll
ask
students to make a new dialog and act it
out in group to check if
they can use
new words and sentences correctly .
and
match
I will show four pictures about seasons
,and four sentences which
describe the
seasons on the blackboard. then Ask some teams try
to
match.
Step 5 : summary
This step
will take about 3 minutes. I will guide Ss to
conclude the
key words and sentences
,encourage Ss to use the learned to
communicate with each other in their life.
Step 6 : homework
This step will take
about 2 student is a reporter to
interview at
least four friends “which season do you like
best?”,then
make a record. The purpose is put
the new words and sentences into use
in real
life.
Part 7 :lay-out design
This is my
lay-out design (I will write my tittle in the
middle,the key
words on left. Key sentences
will be write on the right )
