(1) Ask students to read the new words in 1a.

conversation.

(3) Ask students to work in pairs and make their
own conversation.

activity 1b&1c
(1) Ask students to read
the three conversations.
(2) Ask
students to work with their partners and practice
the conversations.
(3) Tell students to
listen and number the conversations [1-3].
(4) Check the correct answers with the class.
Answers: 2, 1, 3.

Teach activity 2a
(1) Ask students to
read the words in the box and try to recite them.
(2) Play the recording for students and
ask them to circle the food they hear.
(3) Check the correct answers with the class.
2. Teach activity 2b
(1) Ask students to
read the conversation again and make sure they
know what
the conversation is about.
(2) Play the recording for a second time and ask
students to fill in the blanks.

Invite some students to tell their answers.

and give answers that are
true for them.
