, everyone. It’s my
great pleasure standing here to share with
you my teaching idea. Today, my topic is Unit 9
--- Do you have any
certificates , I
’d like to give a brief intr
oduction from the following six parts:
Part One
Analysis of the students
Let’s begin with analysis of students. The students are in Grade Two
majoring in logistics, most of whom are girls. They are active in thinking and
participation, But most of them are not confident in their English study,
especially they don
’
t want to open their mouths. Before this class they know little
about certificates and they have no experience of job interview. So, they may
have difficulty in learning in this class, but at the same time, they will have a
strong desire to learn it, for it
’
s closely related to their future jobs.
Part Two
Analysis of the Teaching Materials
The topic is listening and speaking part of unit 9,Book 2, published by Foreign
language teaching and research press.
It is the first period of this unit .Lead-in
part mainly contains words about certificates, and listening speaking part is the
dialogue about job interview. In order to help ss better understand the dialogue,
i rearrange the activities and select activity ⑤ as the
listening material.
Part Three
Teaching objectives
1.
Knowledge objectives
⑴
ss understand
word and expressions related to certificates and in the
dialogue , such as
teacher’s certificate/logistics certificate/cookery
certificate/driver’s license /fail/taste/either/computer
certificate/ interview
⑵
Help ss understand the sentences talking about job interview.
Eg:I was having a job interview./ I failed.
What was the trouble?/ I don
’
t have a cookery certificate.

ll try to pass the exam and get a certificate as soon as I can
2. Ability objectives

.90% Ss are able to finish related exercise by practicing of listening and
speaking
⑵
80% Ss can make dialogues about job interview after learning
3. Emotional objectives
Ss can realize the importance of certificates in future study and have their own
career plans
The key points are:

help ss master some useful words and expressions
about certificates .
⑵
help ss understand the dialogue talking about job
interview. And the teaching difficulties lie in how to enable ss to use language in
real situations and encourage ss to make dialogues.
Part Four Teaching ideas
I.
Designing concept
According to the Second Language Acquisition Theory, language input is the
foundation of output. So in order to help students learn more effectively in class,
I’
ll spend most of the class time in learning the listening and speaking material
and make sure enough input. I intend to design my whole teaching like
watching a movie
: “
Tony
’
s job hunting
”
. The main clue and four scenes make my
whole teaching clear and complete. Scene 1 Tony shows his certificates, Scene 2
Tony goes to the interview, Scene 3 Tony talks about his interview, scene 4 Tony
goes to career show. These four scenes are closely linked to each other . In the
scene 1, I just want to deal with the new words and expressions about
certificates. The study of scene 1 can provide with vocabulary foundation. Scene
2 and 3 are just the process of language input, which can provide sentence
foundation. After learning these 3 steps, knowledge objectives will be achieved.
Scene 4 is just language output to see if ss can make dialogues about job
interview .ability objectives will be achieved in this scene.
2. Teaching methods
In this period of class, three teaching methods are mainly used: situational
teaching method , task based teaching method and .computer assisted teaching
method .And i will also pay attention to their learning strategies. A series of
activities such as, object showing, memory test will be designed to make ss
compete with each group and discussion to make ss cooperate with each other.
At last ,ss can learn autonomously in their future study.

Teaching Procedures
