. Introduction
The
weather is one of the most important things in
life. For a farmer the
wrong weather may mean that he has poor
crops or no crops at all. For sailors
and
airmen,
bad
weather
often
brings
danger,
even
death.
Obviously,
it
is
essential
to
know
the
changes
in
the
weather
in
advance,
so
the
career
of
weather forecast is
developing little by little.
Three essential aspects in
weather forecast

Example:
Good morning. Here is the weather
forecast for the next 24 hours. In the
north of China, there will be snow with
strong winds. It will be very cold and

The Celsius System and the Fahrenheit
System
There are two
different systems of temperatures that are used in
weather
forecasts.
There
is
the
Celsius
system
(°
C),
which
is
the
one
used
in
most
countries.
Another
name
for
this
system
is
centigrade.
In
Western
countries
the
Fahrenheit
system
(°
F)
is
also
used.
0
°
C
equals
32
°
F
and
100
°
C
equals
212
°
F.
The
Celsius
system
is
always
used
in
weather
forecasting,
but
because
many
Westerners
are
more
familiar
with
Fahrenheit,
temperatures
are
very
often
given
in
both
ways.
And
please
note
temperatures
are
always
given
in
degrees
(plural
form).
For
example,
0 degrees.

Analysis
:
Note the frequent use of the word

in a weather
forecast. “With”
structure
further explains the part of the weather that
precedes it. You can find
more similar sentences in this
forecast.
Translation

Example:

temperature of 20 degrees.

information is given as an expected message,
passive voice is a commonly-used
structure of a weather forecast.
